A man has been arrested following the execution of a drugs warrant at a flat.
Officers from the town’s Community Policing Team began with carrying out a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act in Auden Way, Dover, yesterday morning.
They seized a quantity of cannabis and cash and a 21-year-old man from the town was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply.
He has been released while enquiries continue.
Sgt Simon Drew, from the Community Policing Team said: ‘This warrant was the latest action in our ongoing fight to disrupt people who are involved in the supply of illegal drugs in Dover.
‘We rely on the public and our partners to provide us with information about the supply of illegal drugs.
" This is a good example of where we have acted on such information, carried out our own research and gathered sufficient intelligence to carry out a successful search warrant at the address.
"If you have concerns please contact us. Every piece of information we receive can help build a picture of drug supply in your area. We will do our best to protect the public from harm and ensure an effective response to those who are most vulnerable in our communities."
Anyone with information about criminal behaviour is urged to contact Kent Police on 101, Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or to speak to their local Police Community Support Officer.
