Police arrest man from Deal after discovering suspected cocaine, slingshot and razor blades during search in Dover

Weapons including a slingshot and razor blades were seized following a vehicle search in a residential street.

Police in Dover had found a parked car while on patrol in Buckland Avenue on Thursday (October 31) evening. The car had been driven in a suspicious manner a short time earlier.

Further inquiries led to officers stopping and speaking a man in Cherry Tree Avenue.

A substance suspected to be cocaine was seized and a search of the vehicle resulted in officers seizing a knife, slingshot and razor blades.

It led to them arresting a 41-year-old man from Deal on suspicion of possessing class A drugs, possessing a knife and an offensive weapon.

He was also arrested in connection with driving offences.

The suspect was later released on bail pending further inquiries.
