KENT Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to trace in connection with a deception offence.
A 37-year-old man was walking in Folkestone Road, Dover at 2pm on Wednesday, August 3, when he was approached by two men in a white Vauxhall car.
The men showed the victim a range of electrical items they had for sale, including camcorders and a laptop computer.
The victim offered to buy the laptop for £200 and walked to a cash machine at Dover Priory Station.
He paid the men the money but when he got home he realised the laptop box contained nothing but some copies of yellow pages.
The victim has managed to help police with the production of an e-fit of one of the offenders. He is described as a white man aged around 20, with mousey brown hair and a scar on the left side of his face.
Anyone who thinks they can identify this man is asked to contact Det Sgt Trevor Smith on 01304 240055.
