The interviews to appoint a new non-executive community director at Dover Harbour Board has highlighted some top quality candidates.
DHB said it is delighted with the amount of interest the newly created job role has generated.
The best calibre applicants have been shortlisted to take part in the second phase of the interview process, which requires them to meet with the DHB nomination committee.
The panel, which includes the leader of DDC, Paul Watkins, the deputy Mayor of Dover, Sue Jones and MP Charlie Elphicke, will make the final recommendation.
The successful candidate will take office in January.
