A body has been found in the port of Calais this morning (Wednesday).
It was first spotted at around 10pm last night in the harbour.
The prefecture of Pas-de-Calais, who runs the French port, said it was "the body of a person, probably a migrant."
It was also reported in the French press that the body was believed to have been submerged for a few days before being discovered.
This comes as migrant crossings through the Calais has increased in the last few months, particularly with the refugee crisis in Syria seeing families fleeing for their lives.
