A man has been found dead in woodland in Dover.

Emergency crews including the police helicopter were drafted in to search for him after concerns were raised for his welfare.

Officers were called to Marine Parade at around 7.30pm.

The body was discovered in woods close to Dover Castle.

A police spokesman said: "The man's death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

"A report is being complied for the coroner."

The man's family has been informed.
