A mum has told of her narrow escape after a car and lorry crashed.
Traffic behind the crash screeched to a halt and Claire Hall was able to quickly brake and avoid hitting the back of another lorry.
The stricken truck ended up across the carriageway.
Drivers had to brake suddenly to avoid any further collisions after the original crash.
It happened on the coasbound A2 near Lydden Hill, Dover, this afternoon.
Claire Hall, 33, a mother-of-one of Buckland estate in Dover, explained: "I had got past the second set of traffic lights and noticed other drivers having to brake suddenly as I had to.
"I nearly ended up in the back of a lorry and I was inches from hitting it.
"I eventually saw a flatbed truck that had ended up right across the carriageway and the rear of it just going over into the Londonbound side.

"I think I had been about 10 vehicles away from the original impact.
"I was able to safely drive away from the scene and I thought thank God I was on my own and didn't have my 18-month-old son with me.
"I was shaking like a leaf after that."
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police were called to a collision, reported to involve a car and a lorry, on the A2 coastbound at 4.36pm.
"The South East Coast Ambulance Service were also called and assessed for any injuries at the scene."
A road closure was enforced but by 5.45pm Highways England confirmed that the route had been reopened.
