Dover: Traffic lights broken in London Road could cause rush hour queues

Rush hour queues could build up along a major route this morning because the traffic lights have stopped working.

The A256 London Road in Dover, at the junction of Crabble Hill is the area affected, according to a Kent County Council Highways alert at 6.38am.

It has labelled the severity of the incident as high, but confirmed that the issue is being sorted.

The statement said: "Please approach with caution.

"A KCC engineer is en route to restore the signals."

A blockade at the Port of Calais is also planned today and it is expected that traffic will build up along the A20 as lorries head to the Port of Dover.
