Bus driver and biker attacked in Folkestone Road, Dover, before thug targeted people in other vehicles

A bus driver and biker were attacked by a thug who then started targeting people in other vehicles.

Shortly after 8.40am on Saturday, November 2, a man got on a bus, which had stopped in Folkestone Road, Dover, and attempted to assault a passenger.

Police say when the bus driver intervened, he was also assaulted.

A force spokesperson said: “The offender reportedly then caused a disturbance in the area, approaching people in other vehicles. A man on a motorcycle is believed to have been assaulted.”

Officers were called to the scene, where a 45-year-old man from Dover was arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and possession of Class B drugs. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police have reviewed CCTV footage and believe some victims and witnesses have yet to come forward.
