Two people have gone on trial accused of murdering a flamboyant character around Dover known as “Camp David”.
Maidstone Crown Court heard that David Reman was ferociously beaten senseless and dumped in the sea.
He has not been seen since his disappearance 18 months ago and although his body has not been found, is assumed to be dead.
Christopher Graham and his girlfriend Phillipa Hart, of Noah’s Ark Road, Dover, who were filmed by CCTV cameras with Mr Redman the night he is alleged to have met his death, are accused of murder.
Graham, 26, is alleged to have carried out the attack and 22-year-old Hart to have helped carry the victim and roll him into the water.
Philip St John-Stevens, prosecuting, said Hart later admitted her part in the killing and described how it happened.
A forensic scientist told the court that bloodstains and human tissue found on clothing belonging to Graham were consistent with an attack on Mr Redman.
Sarah Andrew said small blood deposits were also found on clothing worn by Hart.
The trial continues.
