Emergency crews were called after a car swerved off the road and crashed into a lamppost.

Police, the ambulance service and highways officers were sent to Honeywood Parkway in Whitfield following the smash, which happened just before 1pm.

The extent of any injuries is not yet known.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a reported single vehicle collision in Honeywood Parkway, Whitfield, at 12.54pm on Sunday 20 March. It was reported that a car had collided with a lamppost.

"Officers attended the scene and Secamb were also called. The highways authority has also been informed of damage to roadside property."
