New retailers have been announced for the St James' development in Dover town centre.

Costa, Tresspass, Poundland and Brantano will now join the site.

The coffee chain, outdoor store, budget shop and shoe specialists will be joining a variety of businesses on site.

This includes a 108-bed Travelodge, Cineworld, Frankie and Benny's, Nandos, Bella Italia, Next, and an M&S Simply Food.

Ground preparation works started on the site in the last few weeks after the former County Hotel and Burlington House were demolished.

Last month, construction firm Kier was awarded a £24 million contract by the developer Bond City to deliver the £53 million project.

There are still more retailers to be announced for the 156,915 sq ft site.
