The firm has one store inside Next and the existing standalone branch next door to Card Factory.

A spokesman for the chain said: “We can confirm that we are closing our current Costa Coffee store on St James Retail Park in Dover at the end of November.

“This is due to a brand-new Costa Coffee store opening in a new location on the same retail park at the End of November 2024.

“All team members from the old store will move over to the new premises, and are already looking forward to welcoming both new and existing customers into the new store.”

Bosses have confirmed it will stay inside Next.

Rico Sabor closed in February 2023 after the landlord terminated the lease.

Posted on the door of the site was a forfeiture notice, meaning the landlord claimed back the property and terminated the lease of the tenant.

Another Costa is set to open in Dover in the near future.

Work is underway for a drive-thru on land off the A20, which formerly housed large warehouse buildings.

It is expected to welcome customers later this year.

The company also has a fourth branch in the town’s main high street and two stands housed within the ferry port terminal buildings.
