Newly-weds Claire and Stuart Davies found there was no escape from the law when they took a break during their wedding reception on Saturday for a stroll along Dover seafront.
As well as attracting admiring glances from many of the people attending the regatta events, they also gained the attention of Port of Dover police officer PC Darren Parkinson - who soon had them securely locked together in his handcuffs!
Radiographer Claire Gammon and school teacher Stuart Davies were married at River Parish Church.
The bride works at the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford and the bridegroom is a teacher at Astor College for the Arts.
The couple had left their reception at The Churchill Hotel for a walk and it was while they were loitering by a no waiting sign that PC Parkinson sprang into action. Fortunately he released them in time for them to fly off to Kenya for their honeymoon.
