A dangerous driver who led police on a chase before being found with drugs when his car was stopped with stingers has been jailed.
Daniel Miller pulled out a knuckle duster when he was arrested and was found to have ecstasy, cannabis and a police baton.
He was sentenced to three years and nine months last Friday.
Kent Police had chased Miller along Folkestone Road at around 8pm on Tuesday, May 8, when he failed to stop in his car in Dover.
He was eventually brought to a halt by two police stingers before officers chased him and foot and caught him.
As he was arrested at the scene he pulled a knuckle duster from his pocket.
His car was searched and officers found ecstasy and cannabis plus a knife, scales and other drugs paraphernalia.
Miller was charged with dangerous driving, driving without insurance or a licence and possession of a knuckle duster.
He was also charged with two counts of possession of class A and class B drugs and possession of a police extendable baton also found in his car.
Miller, 27, of London Road, Dover, pleaded guilty to all charges at Canterbury Crown Court.
He was also banned from driving for three years and nine months and will have to take an extending driving test before he can go back on the road.
Investigating officer PC Danielle Rolfe said after the hearing: "Daniel Miller put lives at risk when he tried to evade police and drove dangerously around the streets of Dover.
"Even worse that he was found to be involved with drugs. "
