A crash is slowing traffic on a main route leading to Dover.

The A2 coastbound road was blocked for a time, following a two-vehicle accident near Coldred Hill at 1.37pm.

Police and an ambulance crew are still attending the scene.

The road has since re-opened partially, with traffic able to pass albeit slowly.

It has not yet been confirmed if there were any casualties or injuries.

A police spokeswoman said: "We were called to the coastbound carriageway of the A2, Lydden at 1.37pm following a report of a road traffic collision.

"Two vehicles were reported to be involved.

"South East Coast Ambulance Service have been called to the scene.

"Officers are still on the scene."
