People's views are wanted as the council reviews rules on dog control, street drinking and unauthorised camping.
Dover District Council has this week begun a public consultation, which ends on March 14.
Its cabinet on February 7 agreed on this for the renewal and amendment of two Public Spaces Protection Orders.
This includes proposals on dog fouling where people can walk their dogs, where dogs need to be on leads, alcohol consumption in public places and unauthorised camping.
The proposal is to merge the two existing orders to make the rules easier to understand and enforce.
PSPOs specify an area where activities are taking place that do, or may be likely to, affect the community’s quality of life. PSPOs impose conditions or restrictions on people using that area.
The PSPO relating to alcohol does not make it illegal to carry it or to drink it in a public place so long as drinking is done responsibly.
A PSPO will only be used to tackle potential alcohol related anti-social behaviour.
Under these circumstances police and designated council officers will have the power to stop people drinking alcohol and seize or confiscate it within the restricted area.
Cllr Martin Bates, cabinet member for regulatory services, said: “We know that these issues cause concern for local residents.
" The renewal of these orders is based on feedback from the local community, so we hope to hear more from local people during the consultation.”
