Dover saluted the Queen with a double beacon lighting tonight (Thursday).
This took place both at the town Castle and Seafront at 9.45pm.
Hundreds of people attended the Seafront ceremony on a night that venues across the country saw the lighting of beacons at the start of the four-day Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.
Mayor Gordon Cowan officiated and the audience cheered and clapped as two torchbearers set the beacon alight.
This ceremony took place at Clock Tower Square, which opened almost exactly a year ago, one June 7, 2021.
This is a new open space as part of the wider £250 million redevelopment of Dover Western Docks.
Dover Castle was not open to the public for its beacon lighting but people were able to follow it from home via a live link.
