Police were called after a collision between a pedestrian and a car in South Road in Dover, last night.

But when they arrived the driver of the car had left the scene.

A spokesman said: "Police were called at 8.45pm on February 5 to a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

"The driver stopped to assist the pedestrian, but left before police arrived.

"The pedestrian did not suffer any serious injuries."
