A 68-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital after collapsing on cliffs near Dover on Saturday.
Coastguards were alerted at 2.15pm when a man called to report the incident at Langdon Steps.
They contacted the Deal Coastguard Rescue Team, launched the Dover RNLI lifeboat and scrambled a helicopter with a paramedic on board.
Crews on the helicopter and lifeboat spoke to the woman and assessed the situation, before deciding she needed hospital treatment.
The woman was then airlifted from the scene and taken to the QEQM Hospital at Margate.
Dover Coastguard Watch Manager Frank O’Neill said: "We were able to assist this lady very quickly and the whole operation was complete within the hour.
"The walk down the cliffs at Langdon is very steep and we would remind people that they should consider their own physical fitness before attempting strenuous cliff-side walks."
