A blue Ford Mondeo went up in flames on Saturday night caused by an electrical fault.

The blaze, that happened in Elms Vale Road at 6.05pm, took five minutes to extinguish.

Firefighter, Jason Hills, said: "80% of the engine compartment was destroyed by fire."

Mr Hills was not able to confirm whether the owner was aware of the situation, but said the call came from someone who had discovered it only five minutes earlier.
