A daughter has made a desperate plea to find her mother who has been missing for three weeks.
Hannah Swinbourne’s search has gone international, with it being shared on social media in America, France and Ireland as well as all over Kent and England.
Kent Police say that they are still trying to find Kelly Prebble, 47, of Dover. Ms Swinbourne has repeated her appeal on Facebook every single day since May 13.
She said: “Our whole family and police have been searching non-stop for her. We need to know that she’s okay, that she’s safe, that she’s not hurt.
"Please, if you know where she is or if you have seen her please let us know.
"Every day our nightmare continues and will continue until we find her.”
Kent Police said they were continuing investigations into Ms Prebble’s whereabouts.
A spokesman said yesterday “Enquiries are still ongoing to locate the missing woman however officers believe there is no immediate threat to her well-being.
"All lines of enquiry are being followed and officers will continue to update her next of kin when further information is available.”
Ms Prebble, a grandmother, had been reported missing on Tuesday, May 2.
Police 10 days later issued a public appeal to help find her, saying that they were increasingly concerned for her welfare.
They described what she was wearing when last seen: a black jacket, grey slim jeans, black canvas trainers and a silver necklace.
Ms Swinbourne adds that her mother is about 5ft tall with long brown hair and was wearing rings on her fingers and a necklace with a butterfly on.
Officers say that following their public appeal she contacted police to confirm that she was safe.
But Ms Swinbourne insisted that she was still missing and had been “in tears” when she spoke to police on the phone.
The Kent Police spokesman explained this week: “At this stage investigating officers no longer believe it is proportionate to seek the public’s help in this search.”
But since she has been putting out her Facebook appeal her postings have been shared as far as Indiana, USA, France and Ireland.
By Monday they had been shared by people in 10 other Kent towns, from Margate and Ramsgate to Swanley and Dartford and more than 50 parts of England and Wales from Cornwall to York.
Anybody who knows Ms Prebble’s whereabouts should contact Kent Police on 101.
