Firefighters prevented a blaze from bins reaching into a house.
It happened at the rear of the two-storey property at Slip Lane, Alkham just before 12.15pm today.
The fire had happened in a storage area behind the house, destroying two wheelie bins.
Crews used breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet to deal with the flames.
They prevented the fire spreading to the house, though the rear did end up with some charring.
The occupants had safely got out.
The firefighters stayed to check the property, including the loft space, for any fire spread in order to leave the scene safe.
Two fire engines were called out to the scene, one from Dover and the other from Folkestone.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
