Crews tackled flames in wood shed in Waterworks Lane, Martin, nr Dover

Two fire crews fought flames in a wood store in Martin, near Dover, last night (Sunday).

The call was raised at 7.31pm and firefighters arrived at the property in Waterworks Lane to discover a deep seated fire.

At the time, a Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Fire crews are tackling a deep seated fire in a wood store full of seasoned wood Waterworks Lane, Martin.

"Crews are using a hose reel and have a water shuttle in operation to tackle the fire."

The blaze was extinguished by 8.36pm.

Firefighters stayed at the scene damping down and turning over for another 30 minutes.
