Firefighters have defeated a blaze which tore though a derelict house.
The first fire crews that arrived at around 7pm yesterday were met with the building, in Eythorne Street, Dover, well alight with black smoke billowing from under roof tiles.
In just over two hours they managed to extinguish the flames.
Four fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to the scene where crews were joined by a UK Power Networks electrical safety engineer.
Fortunately, no-one was injured.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
