A Dover engineer has been sent to prison for drugs smuggling.

Massimo Bocchi, 46, from Primrose Road, was sentenced at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday to five years imprisonment for the importation of five kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of £245,000.

UK Border Agency officers intercepted a car driven by Bocchi at Dover’s Eastern Docks on July 31. After questioning him, the officers searched the vehicle and found the cocaine in the boot.
