A former Kent footballer has been confirmed as one of four new bombshells set to enter the Love Island villa.
Jamie Allen, who used to play for Dover Athletic FC, will join the cast of the eighth series of the ITV dating show where contestants 'couple up' to avoid being 'dumped' from our screens.
The 27-year-old left the Dover club in 2019 to play for Halifax Town FC.
However the forward has left the pre-season camp to fly to Majorca and star in the show, a decision that has proved controversial.
In a tweet, Halifax Town FC said: "Jamie Allen has decided to join the cast of Love Island 2022, making his intentions clear that the opportunity is very important to him.
"The matter will be reviewed on his return."
It's believed Jamie will enter the villa in tonight's episode alongside three other contestants hoping to find love after being introduced on the show's social media accounts.
