Police need witnesses after four burglaries in just over a week.
The daytime and early evening break-ins happened in Ashford, Folkestone and Dover between January 8 and 16.
Detectives are not ruling out the possibility that they are linked.
Det Con Kelvin Lucken said: "In all of these burglaries the home owners have left their properties secure but the offender or offenders have gained entry to the properties by smashing windows or doors.
‘We would urge residents to ensure their properties are kept secure and windows are in a good state of repair so they are not easy to break into.
‘Photograph and insure expensive or unique items – those photos will make it easier to reunite you with your belongings if stolen."
Police also say that if you are away from home consider using using security measures, such as timers on lights and radios to make your property look occupied, or install CCTV.
Tools and garden equipment, which could be used to break into a house, should also be locked away.
DC Lucken said: "We continue to investigate the reports and ask if you have information about any of the reports, perhaps you’ve heard glass being broken near your home and saw someone in the area, to call us."
The first break-in was at Canterbury, Road, Folkestone, between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday, January 8. The crime reference number is 46/10144/19.
