LIFEBOAT crews failed to find anything after being called out on Tuesday afternoon to help search for a woman reported missing from a ferry.
French Coastguard requested the help of the Dover Lifeboat to search from Dover to half way across the Channel after the 35-year-old went missing from the SeaFrance Rodin's crossing from Dover to Calais.
They joined up with the Calais lifeboat crew, who were searching from the French side.
RAF and French helicopters also joined the search, which was called off after four hours when nothing was found.
It is not yet known for certain if the woman boarded the ferry.
