A red hot tribute to the works of Banksy will be running a Dover gallery.
It makes up Dover SmART Project's first post-Covid exhibition and features work by the artist known playfully as Franksy who has amassed a global following for his hot sauce artworks.
SmART Project chief executive Dawn Maddison, said: "Franksy creates his paint from the world’s hottest sauces.
"Cooked up in his underground kitchen laboratory, he reduces the sauce through heat then carefully mixes it with further ingredients to make the winning recipe for a paint substance.
"His process is one of the art world’s most closely-guarded secrets.
"When you ask Franksy the obvious question - ‘why hot sauce?’ his answer is simple yet complicated: “There is something beautifully evil about hot sauce, the mixture of pleasure and pain, the battle of desire versus regret.
"In some ways, it’s the perfect medium to create art with.”
The identity of graffiti artist Banksy remains a mystery.
He gained notoriety for his murals around Britain including the Brexit piece at Dover which was mysteriously painted over last year .
Franksy will be exhibiting a tribute to the work of Banksy at the Smart Gallery, 3 Waterloo Crescent, Dover until Thursday, September 3.
The gallery is open Monday to Sunday 11am-4pm.
