A drug user went from a promising banking career to a life living in squalor to feed his drug addiction, a court heard.

Daniel Hunt's banking career plunged after he begun using drugs.

Hunt, 52, of Castle Street, Dover was now said to suffer leg ulcers, the veins in his arms had collapsed and he faced an uncertain future as a result of his 20-year addiction.

His lawyer Colin Aylott said Hunt’s life was a cautionary tale of the dangers of drug use.

He was one of a number of drug suppliers cleared off the streets of Dover in a police undercover operation last year.

He appeared for sentence at Canterbury Crown Court having admitted seven charges of supplying heroin between February and May and was jailed for two years less 200 days already served.
