Drivers have vented their fury over severe delays on ferry services from Calais to Dover.
P&O Ferries has apologised for the waiting times after large queues formed at border control at the French port last night.
But this morning (Tuesday) the operator said all delays had been cleared at Calais, only for one passenger to hit back within minutes to say they'd been sat in a 20-minute queue.
DFDS, which advised passengers last night to "allow 120 minutes to complete border control and additional time for check-in", this morning said there were 30-minute waits at border control.
One Twitter user said: "Arrived at Calais 150 mins before ferry and we are still queuing to get to British passport control."
Another driver, waiting at border control for two hours with five children in the car, said the service was "unacceptable" and "very frustrating".
It is not known what caused last night's the delays - but there may be high demand for services due to the number of people trying to get home at the end of the bank holiday weekend.
P&O Ferries say there are no delays on sailings from Dover to Calais.
The operator tweeted: "Please be advised that there are large queues at border control in Calais.
"We will hold vessels to accommodate as many people as possible and rest assured you will be on the next crossing should you miss yours.
"We sincerely apologise for the wait times this evening."
