POLICE are appealing for information after a man attempted to assault a teenage girl in Dover.

The girl, who is 13, was walking in an area covered by fields and woods between Melbourne Avenue and Old Charlton Road. Fortunately, she managed to run away to safety.

The incident happened on Thursday, October 9. Police are now appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area between 3pm and 7pm and who may have noticed anyone who looked suspicious.
