Ground investigation work has began in Dover’s Russell Street car park.
It started on Tuesday and is taking place to ensure that the most cost effective design solution is chosen when building the St James’s retail and leisure development.
It will also minimise the risk of unknown ground conditions.
Bore holes will be drilled in various locations and acoustic screens will be used to reduce noise disturbance.
Work should be completed by the end of this month.
