Firefighters dealt with a fire involving a large haystack in a field of stubble in Eythorne on Monday afternoon.
Two fire engines and a fogging unit went to the field next to Sheperdswell Road.
Eyewitness Tyrone Hetherington, who lives in Sandwich Road, pictured the hay bales, completely up in flames. He said the fire started around 4.15pm.
He continued: “It’s massive, fire engines are there now and they look tiny in comparison.”
A statement released from Kent Fire and Rescue said: "Farm machinery is being used to create a fire break, to allow the fire to burn out under controlled conditions."
Fire crews left the scene at around 5.15pm.
