A stretch of the A20 at Dover is closed today (Tuesday) because of high winds.
The westbound section of road, between the York Street junction and the B2011 junction at Courtwood, was closed.
Highways England said that the weather conditions meant that workers were unable to remove equipment following overnight roadworks closures.
The road was scheduled for closure for seven nights from yesterday (Monday), between 8pm and 6am, because of works for signage for Dover TAP.
This is between the Western Heights roundabout and the A260 Hawkinge turnoff.
There is also a 24-hour lane closure on the westbound route between the Western Heights and the Courtwood interchange, near Capel-le-Ferne, for the duration of the works, which will finish by the end of July.
This is work to provide signage for Dover TAP (Traffic Assessment Project), which allows the speed limit to go back from 40mph to the standard 70mph limit when the traffic control system is not being used.
