Nearly 250 homes in the St Radigund's area of Dover were without power for much of this morning.

A fault on an underground electricity cable initially interrupted supplies to 243 households.

It is understood the power was completely restored by noon.

A UK Power Networks spokesman said: "We know how difficult it is being without electricity and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this has caused."
