People have the chance to have their say about which services should be provided at the new community health facility being planned for Dover.

A public meeting and workshop is being held at The Ark, Noah’s Ark Road, Dover, on Wednesday, June 11, from 10am to noon. Anyone wishing to attend should let Hannah Price know on 01304 216858 or e-mail hannah.price@eastcoastkent.nhs.uk by Wednesday of this week.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that opening hours are being extended at the minor injuries unit at Buckland Hospital this weekend.

As from Saturday, the unit will be open from 8am to 8pm every day, except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Unit manager Lorna Hunt said: "This will improve our service for local people."
