There was a huge emergency response in a town centre as three people were taken to hospital.
Paramedics, the fire service and police were all called to Pencester Road, Dover, before 3pm today.
The ambulance service says three people were treated at the scene before being taken to William Harvey Hospital.
Witness Sarah Allen, 39, said: “I came out of the doctors’ at 3.50pm and there were 11 paramedic cars, one fire engine and a police car.
“There was a guy on a stretcher with lots of people beside Caffe Macaris.
“I went to the pharmacy to drop off my prescription and then crossed the road to wait for the bus.
“There was a guy on the bench behind me with a blanket wrapped around him and paramedics there.
“The gentleman on the bench was swaying from side to side, had slumped and had to be supported to get to the ambulance.
“The gentleman beside Caffe Macaris was also slumped and they kept telling him to sit up straight.”
She adds her husband told her he spotted another person being put into an ambulance along the road.
Video captured at the scene shows a huge joint emergency response near the row of shops in the town centre road.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called at about 2.36pm yesterday to reports of three people in need of medical attention in Pencester Road, Dover.
“Crews assessed and treated all three patients at the scene before conveying them to William Harvey Hospital for further medical treatment.”
The fire service says it was called “following reports of multiple unwell people”.
