Police, fire and ambulance crews were called after a man collapsed near a primary school.
A cordon was put in place close to the entrance of Green Park Community Primary in The Linces, Dover.
Three members of office staff from the school went out to assist the man who had collapsed in the street nearby.
They performed CPR and used the school’s defibrillator to help the man who was later taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police say officers were called to assist paramedics following the medical incident shortly after 11.30am.
Headteacher Richard Hawkins said: “I was very proud of the way my staff acted so promptly and efficiently to help this poor man and we all hope he has a full recovery.”
The incident has now cleared.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “I can confirm that we were called at approximately 11.20am today to The Linces, Dover, to reports a person had collapsed.
“Ambulance crews attended the scene and the person was given emergency treatment before being taken to hospital in a serious condition.
“We would like to thank all those who assisted at the scene prior to our arrival.”
