Firefighters tackled a huge blaze that ripped through acres of land.
Crews in 12 fire engines were called to the field next to Swanton Farm in Lydden, near Dover, just after 7.30pm yesterday.
The blaze is thought to have started accidentally on farm machinery and spread across a field, destroying 50 bales of hay.
As many as 60 firefighters used hose reel jets, a fogging unit and beaters to put out the flames, before damping down hotspots.
A witness said: "Firefighters worked extremely hard and efficiently, given the remote location and extreme conditions."
No one was injured in the blaze, which had been extinguished by 11pm.
