Police continue to hunt a mugger who attacked and robbed a disabled young woman.
Josie Swinerd, 25, was punched to the ground at Honeywood Parkway in Dover after walking from the Whitfield Tesco at about 9pm on Monday last week.
Kent Police spokesman Steve Knight said today: “There are no updates - enquiries are still ongoing.”
Miss Swinerd was punched in the stomach and had her last £20 stolen. Her purse was emptied and thrown straight back in her face.
Miss Swinered is disabled after both her knees were operated one.
Her father John Swinerd immediately put out a warning about the mugger on social media.
He said on Facebook: "We hope he left his fingerprints on the purse because he threw it in her face as she lay on the floor.”
The police and ambulance service were called that night and paramedics treated her and confirmed that she had not broken bones.
Miss Swinerd was able to stay at home that night but Mr Swinerd took her to a doctor's surgery next day when her condition did not improve.
She was put on a week’s bedrest.
Mr Swinerd also told people: “I would would just like to warn other people that there is mugger about and to be careful.
“ I just want to catch the person who did this so be aware around cash machines and please stay safe."
And he appealed directly to the robber: “If you did this please give yourself up. This is the damage you have caused to my family for just £20.”
