Two people have been arrested following a raid on a nail salon by immigration services.
It is understood that customers were being treated in Regal Nails salon in Dover when the building was stormed by enforcement officers yesterday.
An eyewitness who asked not to be named explained that officers came in shouting ‘immigration’ and demanded work permits from five members of staff.
Only three workers could produce their permits and the other two were escorted out.
The eyewitness said that staff were left shaking and crying.
The Home Office said: "Acting on intelligence, Immigration Enforcement officers visited Regal Nails in London Road, Dover.
"Two individuals from Vietnam were found to be working illegally and arrested.
"Both the male and female arrested had entered the UK illegally.
"The male remains in immigration detention pending his removal from the UK while the female must report regularly to the Home Office while her case is dealt with."
Regal Nails have been contacted for comment.
