A supermarket has been temporarily closed after the roof was damaged by “adverse weather”.
The Lidl store in Honeywood Pkwy, Whitfield, Dover was shut this afternoon and work is now underway to have the shop open “as soon as possible”.
It comes as Storm Henk hit the county today, where coastal areas are seeing gusts of up to 80mph winds.
The amber warning is in place from 10am to 8pm on today, while a yellow warning for wind is in place from 8am to 9pm.
A Lidl spokesperson said: “We have temporarily closed our Dover store as a precautionary measure, following minimal damage to the roof caused by adverse weather.
“Remedial works are underway, and we hope to have the store back open as soon as possible.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and are grateful to our customers for their patience and understanding.”
