THE Dover lifeboat sprang into action last night to rescue a crew member from a Dutch yacht which got into difficulties.

The yacht Willemijn was heading for Dover when it reported engine problems and also that a female on board was feeling very ill.

The lifeboat brought the woman off and delivered her to a waiting ambulance in Folkestone before continuing to tug the stricken vessel to port.
