Pictures and memorabilia from Dover Lifeboat station are being showcased at My Gallery in the Clocktower at the Western Docks.
The space, which is run by Dover Smart Project (DSP), will be occupied with a range of action images for the rest of the month.
They are made up of photos and paintings acquired over the past two decades.
Co-director of DSP and event organiser Dawn Maddison said: “It’s a privilege to have the RNLI use our gallery, and it is very fitting that the gallery was the original lifeboat station built in 1866.
“There is a picture of it in its original form as part of the exhibition.”
The crew, made up of volunteers, are often seen rallying around the town trying to generate funds.
On Saturday they collected nearly £500 from shoppers in the town centre.
It contributes to the £385,000 cost of keeping the station operating all year round.
Nationally, the RNLI on average saves 22 lives a day, as well as running water safety campaigns.
The Clocktower has been given to DSP to use as a gallery by Dover Harbour Board.
