A bridge near Kearsney Abbey has been struck by a lorry, causing delays to rail services.
An assessment will be carried out at the scene in Alkham Road to see the extent of the damage caused, police say.
It got stuck underneath it at 9.35am today but managed to reverse out and leave the area.
Trains between Dover Priory and Shepherdswell were affected, but it is understood the line has now re-opened.
Southeastern tweeted: "The line is now open at Kearsney, with delays and alterations possible while we return he service to normal."
