Police investigating an alleged rape have made an arrest.

The attack is said to have happened 10 days ago in Dover and a suspect was detained yesterday.

It was reported that a woman was raped at an address in the High Street during the early hours on Sunday, September 16.

A police spokesman said: A 37-year-old man from Barcelona was arrested during the afternoon of Tuesday, September 25.

"He was arrested on suspicion of rape and has been released pending further investigation."
