Police appeal after man punched by cyclist on bridge near Dover Priory railway station

A man was punched in the face by a bicycle-riding thug on a railway bridge.

The victim, aged in his 50s, was walking over the bridge crossing the tracks near Dover Priory railway station when he was approached by three young men on bicycles.

One of the men is said to have punched the victim in the face before cycling away in the direction of St John's Road.

The attack in Folkestone Road happened between 3pm and 3.30pm on Friday, April 21, but details have only just been released.

Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses.
