A man was attacked by a group of yobs as he tried to intervene in a disturbance.

The victim, who is in his 20s, suffered serious head injuries in the assault, which happened in London Road, Dover.

The man had tried to intervene in a disturbance on Saturday shortly after 11pm when he was attacked by two men and a pair of women.

It is reported the incident happened near the junction with Cherry Tree Avenue.

A police spokesman said: “The victim suffered serious head injuries which required local hospital treatment.”

No arrests have been made so far.
